This is The Daily for Tue, Oct 20, 2026 and it’s International Sloth Day!

The sloth is my favorite animal, however, we do get a Biblical warning about being “slothful.”

Romans 12:11
Never be lazy (or slothful), but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.

Think: How do I treat my relationship with God? Do I work hard and have enthusiasm? Or do I treat it more like a chore I have to do and dread it?

How you think about this and approach it matters. The Creator of the universe sacrificed Himself so I could spend eternity with Him. He blesses me when I don’t deserve it.

How could I not work hard? How could I not be enthusiastic? Check yourself on this International Sloth Day.
